John Spada, EA is an Enrolled Agent with over 30 years’ experience in the tax and accounting profession. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a BA in Management/Accounting and holds of Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Phoenix, as well as having completed several graduate level courses in Taxation at Bentley University. John is also the Controller of Atlantic Power and Light Corporation in Boston, MA. He served as a Captain in the United States Army during Operation Desert Shield. John is also holds the designations of Certified Fraud Examiner and Accredited Business Accountant. His memberships include the National Society of Accountants, National Association of Enrolled Agents, The Institute of Management Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Marie Phaneuf, Tax Accountant has worked at John Spada Tax Service for several years specializing in individual taxation and accounting services for small businesses. She is a graduate of Bentley University and passed the IRS Registered Tax Preparer Exam in 2013. Marie is also an expert in the researching of complex tax issues and interpreting the application of those issues. She is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals.
Caroline Spada joins the company this year as office manager. She is a graduate of Quincy High School and a Senior at Bridgewater State University where she is majoring in Global Management and has recently visited Cuba as part of her studies. Caroline is enrolled in the Comprehensive Tax Course from the The Income Tax School in Glen Allen, VA and will be taking the Certified Tax Preparer exam this summer.
